We're materialistic.
Not in the “I need another bag” way. More in the “wait, what exactly is this bag made of?” way.We obsess over how a material feels in your hand, how it holds up after months of use, where it comes from and, importantly, where it goes next.Turns out, good materials can come from unexpected places. For our Signature Arc Collection, ours started with bananas.
Things you're probably wondering?
Banofi is currently 97–98% bio-based, depending on the material construction. It combines plant-derived inputs with a small amount of synthetic material for performance and durability.
We're okay with “not perfect yet.”
We'd rather be transparent than make a tall claim.
We designed it to.
Banofi is water-resistant, durable and easy to clean, making it suited to the everyday realities of a handbag.
Coffee spill? Wipe it down.
Unexpected rain? Keep walking.
Storage? Just use the dustbag it came with.
Just give it the same basic care you'd give any good bag.
Vegan leather is an umbrella term for materials made without animal-derived ingredients. That can include everything from plant-based innovations to materials made primarily from synthetic alternatives.
Often vegan leather is made primarily from synthetic plastics like PU or PVC.
Plant-based materials start with nature.
Today, we're seeing a whole new generation of materials made from things like cactus, apple waste, eucalyptus, mushrooms and other plant-based sources turning unexpected parts of nature into materials for fashion and design.
